Conservation of green spaces is not a new concept. John Muir knew the importance of conserving the Yosemite Valley in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Gifford Pinchot helped establish the conservation movement for the wise-use of our valued natural resources in the early 900s. Throughout the history of Meadowsend, we too have embraced the need for the conservation of our green spaces and the smart and sustainable use of our country's natural resources. Meadowsend currently has conservation easements on over 50% of our land. These easements are joint efforts between Meadowsend and several vital organizations that strive to protect green spaces and educate the public about the importance of conservation.
