Meadowsend Consulting believes strongly in clean energy.  Wind Power and low impact hydro electric are two examples of emission-less electrical generation that Meadowsend believes are strong alternatives to the continued burning of fossil fuel.  Both sources of energy are real sustainable solutions.  While they may not be the entire solution, we are convinced that they will evolve as an important piece of the patchwork of ideas that will lead us to a day when strip mining coal and importing crude oil become less a part of our culture.

Conservation of green spaces is not a new concept. John Muir knew the importance of conserving the Yosemite Valley in the late 1800s and early 1900s.    Gifford Pinchot helped establish the conservation movement for the wise-use of our valued natural resources in the early 900s.  Throughout the history of Meadowsend, we too have embraced the need for the conservation of our green spaces and the smart and sustainable use of our country's natural resources. Meadowsend currently has conservation easements on over 50% of our land.  These easements are joint efforts between Meadowsend and several vital organizations that strive to protect green spaces and educate the public about the importance of conservation.
