| MTL is well known and respected in the conservation community for practicing high standards of forest management, disciplined acquisition of quality timberland and a commitment to conservation. We have worked as partners with the Vermont Land Trust, Society for the Protection of NH Forests, NH Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, The Trust For Public Lands, The Conservation Fund and The Upper Valley Land Trust to acquire and conserve special habitat and unique places. Currently over 12,000 acres of MTL's ownership have perpetual working conservation easements in place. These easements preclude development and ensure the land will be available to for the practicing of long-term sustainable forest management. | |||||||||||||
